Twalseree - Balswaree (1999 Belgium) @320

First posted by Yojik

A subtle blend of traditional and original compositions, TAWALSEREE already a part of the largest traditional Flemish renewal as we like to you to discover.
With TAWLSEREE, music and dance must be understood as a source to which they feed to create, perform music of today.
Their repertoire combines research, practical and creative for the immediate pleasure of the dancer, the viewer, listener.

This album could have been taken is also 20 years ago - it offers unspectacular natural Flemish folk music, without possessing many influences from the traditions of other countries. More often I listen to this disc, the better I like it, the ease of arranging beautiful melodies and songs of the CD are a lot of atmosphere. The quartet plays including hurdy gurdy, guitar, harmonica, shawm, dulcimer, bagpipes, violin and flute, all four also sing well - in Flemish.
The songs (songs and tunes ) are written to a considerable proportion of Twalseree 's Jeremy Vervoort, and there are also some traditional and contemporary pieces.

The CD stands out due to their simplicity and honesty - this is hand-made music that offers an evening with a bottle of wine is the perfect atmosphere.
